this pattern scared me a little. first because i've never worked with 2 colors before really. and i've never made a proper sweater before. AND, it's a vintage pattern (a complicated one). AND i'm modifying the pattern stripes. i've got so many strikes against me right now i'm just hoping it comes out as something remotely resembling an article of clothing.

sailor stripes
i said i wasn't going to start a new project until i finished (really FINISHED) the hooded poncho. but after knitting the front and back of the poncho, i realized i needed to block it before seaming and knitting the hood. with my poncho blocking, i needed something to work on. so, here's my progress on the sailor striped sweater.
