i've been noticing a few completely adorable sweaters popping up here and there over the internet. these perfect intarsia animal sweaters are amazing. i love their complete simplicity and quirkiness. especially these fantastic ones of a horse and swan (!)

these adorable sweaters sent me searching through my own knitting patterns, since i've accumulated quite a collection over the years of weird, crazy and mostly absurd knitting patterns. i rediscovered my Knit O Graf knitting book, which has very similar intarsia types of knitting patterns. sometimes with animals, and sometimes with things like sailboats and airplanes. it's true that almost all of these are for children (!) but i think almost all could be adapted for adults. especially just using the graph, enlarge it and put it on a plain sweater pattern.

I NEED to learn how to knit sweaters, they seem like such a rewarding project! That swan one is gorgeouss :D
These are adorable! I would wear that sailboat sweater like it was my job.
Knit O Graf! I was lucky enough to acquire the elf, kitten, bear and soldier patterns in my neverending quest to own every Mary Maxim pattern. If I could only find the rocket ship Knit O Graf....
MANY years ago I knit a sweater for my daughter with a kitten and a butterfly on it. It was a "Knit-o-Graf" leaflet pattern. I have lost the pattern but would like to knit one the same for my GREAT grandaughter. Does anyone have any idea where I might get a copy?Barbara
