another completely useful knit project that took me waaaay to long to finish, although the actual knitting time was really quite short. they just sat, unworked on for over a year or more - yikes! also, i went a little crazy with photos.
pattern: pleated ballet flats
yarn: lion brand cotton ease in red
needle: size US 7
my ravelry project: ballet slippers
i wear these things all of the time around the house, and next time think i will choose a yarn that would look better with use over time. this one i used because i had it on hand, and it's machine-washable.
overall the pattern though was great. so many techniques for a new knitter in this one. knitting in the round with 2 circulars; pleating; short rows; picking up stitches. but it's all explained pretty well (except how to knit with 2 circulars) and so quick!!

Could you share how you knit with 2 circulars for this pattern?
hi m. campbell-miller - sure! so it took me a little while to figure this one out (i'm used to using a magic loop).
You'll want to use needle 1 of the first set of circulars down the left side of the foot (from toe to back of heel). Then, use needle 1 of the second set of circulars down the right side of the foot (again, from toe to back of heel). Then, when you go to knit, starting at the toe on the stitches currently on needle 1 of set 1, you're going to knit them onto needle 2 of set 1. once you work all the way down the left side of the foot to the heel. Then work the right side of the foot from heel to toe, from needle 1 set 2 onto needle 2 of set 2. Make sense? You're essentially always working your stitches from one needle onto the other needle on the same circular...you just have different circulars set for each side (right and left) for the foot.
