maxi dresses for fall
for months i've been bookmarking long maxi dresses for fall, but haven't actually acquired any (bought or made) until this weekend. i came across a silk-like racerback maxi dress while shopping this weekend, and am in love with this dress! it's so comfortable and warm with it's long, long skirt, and makes me feel like a proper lady walking down the brooklyn streets. examining it....it would be dead simple to make. i think it just needs the right, flowy fabric. these are my new weekend plans. if all goes well.......maybe i'll be posting a pattern around here soon.

love the polka dot one.... and you're right- they're a hard find for fall, but these are cute!

I have a few that I love so much and think will transition nicely into winter, I'm just having a hard time figuring out what shoes to wear with them. Tall boots, ankle boots, heels with socks???
i like ankle boots that don't have too high of a heel. heels with socks seem great too! and i love this length of skirt with these mid-size boots: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Id5qApQ59O0/TgM2F2HZNTI/AAAAAAAAB2U/ylvzFaz4lj8/s1600/ps6.jpg
I like the blue one ;-)
The one in the middle is such stunning - the color is jaw-droppingly beautiful!
Those are all fabulous! I need to learn how to rock one!
I love all the photos! Please post a pattern!
