knit rugs: pom poms, gigantic doilies, and woven knits
i've always had a thing for making gigantic knit/crochet things that aren't your typical "knit" items. like the rag bath mat or the crochet bathroom rug. here are a few of my favorites, some for inspiration, some with patterns. my only obstacle is finding yarn big enough to make these things. maybe i should be looking at the hardware store instead of the yarn store.

Oh my gosh! I love all these items! I too want a pair of giant knitting needles and some super fat, cozy yarn! Thanks for sharing these cool things!
I'm actually in the process of trying to gather enough yarn to make one of those big knit poufs. I'm using big size 19 circular needles and holding 3 strands of a super bulky yarn- it is still not as thick as I hoped though~ the hardware store idea sounds good ;)
