necklace crazy

i've been making necklaces like crazy lately. here are a few of my latest.

i love mixing the textures of yarn and metal, especially ruffly yarn and metal. made out of100% cotton yarn, crocheted into the most delicate little ruffles, and attached to vintage gold-tone chain.



then, i decided that i needed even more ruffles. so, this THREE TIERED crochet ruffle attached to vintage chain pretty much does it. it's like wearing a dickey without the dickey.



for this one, i wanted to combine metal with stone, and came up with the asymmetrical jade green stone, connected with the prettiest and most elaborate antique silver chain. it's almost like a byzantine chain, but slightly different -- more open and more curlicues. anyone know the name of this chain?
