tiny shoes

i just finished up these little baby shoes as a congratulations for my friend who just found out that she is pregnant. i used knit picks panache with 10.5 DPNs with this pattern (free).




they were pretty simple to make, except i could never get the tops to come out the way i wanted them to. i ripped them out a few times, and tried to knit tighter/more consistently, but it kept looking the same. however, after i finished these, i saw in the vogue knitting book that when doing short rows/wrapped stitches (which is what these booties use) you're supposed to actually put your needle through the wrapped stitch part, which i didn't do....maybe that was my problem.
